What is KinopiQ?: KinopiQ is an accreditation readiness and tracking tool for impact-driven organisations. It covers six frameworks: B Corp (B Lab Standards V2.1), ISO 14001:2026, GRI, IFRS S1 & S2, UK SRS S1 & S2 and TCFD. You describe your company once — worker count, revenue, sector and where you are in the certification cycle — and KinopiQ narrows each standard to the requirements a company of that shape has to answer for. You record an answer against each one, attach the documents that prove it, and see a readiness score with a separate list of anything still blocking you. A consultant keeps one workspace per client instead of one spreadsheet per standard.
Which standards does KinopiQ cover?: Six. B Corp under B Lab Standards V2.1. ISO 14001:2026. GRI, meaning the Universal Standards 2021 with the topic standards. IFRS S1 & S2, the ISSB baseline. UK SRS S1 & S2, the UK-endorsed versions of those. And TCFD, marked superseded because its recommendations now sit inside IFRS S2, and kept because reporting regimes still ask for it by name.
How is KinopiQ different from B Lab’s own platform?: B Lab’s B Impact platform is free, it works out which sub-requirements apply to you, and it is the system of record for B Corp certification. KinopiQ does not replace it and does not submit anything to it. The difference is that B Lab’s platform covers B Corp and nothing else. If you are also answering to ISO 14001, GRI or UK SRS, you would otherwise keep a separate evidence pack for each. KinopiQ keeps one: a document you attach for a B Corp requirement is there to link against a GRI disclosure too. Which requirements will apply to a company my size?: That depends on what you record once in your company profile: full-time-equivalent worker count, annual revenue, sector, certification phase and any risk flags. For B Corp, worker count and revenue each give a size band and you sit in whichever is smaller, which is B Lab’s rule. KinopiQ then shows the requirements written for a company of that size, sector and phase. A requirement that does not fit your company is hidden, not shown as a gap.
How is the readiness score calculated?: The readiness score is the share of the requirements that apply to you which you have marked as met. Only individual requirements count, not the headings above them. A requirement you mark not applicable, which needs a written reason, leaves the calculation instead of counting against you. Mandatory requirements you have not met are listed separately as blockers and are not folded into the score. It is arithmetic, not a model, so the same record gives the same score.
What does KinopiQ store, and does it use AI?: KinopiQ stores your company profile, your answer and notes against each requirement, the documents you upload as evidence and the requirements each is linked to, and your workspace’s members. Documents are held privately and only members of your workspace can reach them. When you upload a document, a language model reads it and proposes the requirements it is evidence for; you confirm or reject what it finds, and nothing is counted until you do. To do that the document is sent outside AKdev to an AI provider — Anthropic, AWS or Microsoft, listed in AKdev’s sub-processor register — and nowhere else. AKdev’s Privacy Policy governs how all of it is handled.
Can I give an assessor or auditor access?: Yes, on the Full Catalogue and Advisor plans. You invite them as a viewer: they read the whole record and change none of it. The same plans let you invite colleagues as editors. Single Framework is for up to three people working on one framework.
Does KinopiQ certify us, or submit our application?: No. KinopiQ prepares and keeps the record; it is not a certification body and not a submission channel. B Lab certifies B Corps. An accredited certification body audits you against ISO 14001. You submit through their processes, not through KinopiQ. What KinopiQ gives you is a clear picture beforehand: what applies, what is met, what proves it and what is still outstanding.
Does KinopiQ calculate our carbon footprint?: No. KinopiQ does not calculate a carbon footprint and does not take in emissions data from meters or invoices. It tracks what each standard asks of you and holds the evidence for your answer, so an emissions inventory you produced elsewhere is a document you attach, not a figure KinopiQ works out.
